Case study · OSB Firestop

Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw

A new public cultural landmark in the heart of Warsaw, opposite the Palace of Culture — built using OSB Firestop, where one board brings structural capacity, B-s1, d0 fire protection and a finished surface together.

One board, three jobs

Public buildings demand structure, fire safety and a robust, finished surface — usually built up from several layers. OSB Firestop combines the load-bearing performance of OSB/3 with a patented Pyrotite® coating that reaches reaction-to-fire class B-s1, d0, so a single board can do work that would otherwise take OSB plus separate fire lining.

The result on site is a faster, lighter assembly with fewer trades and a durable, paintable face — well suited to the demands of a major museum interior.

Full project details — architect, completion date, scope and the tested assembly's fire rating — are being confirmed with the project team and will be added here.
